1 lb. very large scallops

1 lb. large shrimps

6 slices bacon

2 tbsp. Major Grey chutney

tsp. chopped garlic

Lightly cook bacon in microwave on high for about 2 – 3 minutes or until soft and about half cooked.  Cut each slice in half.  Place on paper towel to drain.

 Press excess moisture out of shrimps and scallops between paper towels. 

Mix 2 tbsp. of bacon drippings with mango chutney and garlic. 

Thread 1 scallop and 1 shrimp lengthwise onto a skewer then slide on a half slice of bacon in an "S".  Repeat until the skewer is full.

Brush with chutney mixture and BBQ about 4 or 5 minutes, flipping once and brushing with mango sauce as required. 


Really easy and quick. this recipe will cure any seafood craving. It will satisfy the most finickity taste buds and make you look like a wizard behind the BBQ..

Preheat: The BBQ

Serves: Should make about 8 kabobs

Serve with:  White wine, Curried couscous, saffron rice or baked potatoes and Spinach salad with strawberries or Tomato-feta salad.
